Mixed fortunes for Oxfordshire teams this weekend

It was mixed results for Oxfordshire teams this last weekend. Keeping up their winning ways, Abingdon Eagles U16 National Leaguers easily beat MK Trojans in the National Cup and look forward to a tough game in Round 3 vs Premier League team Oakland Wolves on Sunday. This means the Eagles are unbeaten in the League and Cup so far this season. It was also a first win for the Oxford Hoops U18s who beat Bracknell Cobras 58-71.

Oxford Hoops U16 had a difficult game against South 1 top of the table Luton, going down 139-38. Luton really seem like the team to beat in the South I league. Hoops U14s had a weekend off, while the Abingdon Eagles lost in the last quarter away to Kingston Wildcats in a close game that ended 75-72. You can read about the two Abingdon Eagles games here.

Oxford Stealers also posted a loss 74-84 to the Surrey Rams. There are no results posted for Oxford Brookes up on the Basketball England website, we will update this page when the results are posted.

EDITED - October 10th. Results are in for Oxford Brookes who were defeated on Saturday 47-78 vs Birmingham Elite.
