It was a good weekend for Oxfordshire basketball as the Abingdon Eagles U16 National League team won their first game of the season vs Farnborough Phantoms I 85-57. Play was fast and furious, but once the Eagles found their rhythm the result was never in doubt.

They were the only Oxfordshire team to start their League games but this coming Saturday and Sunday there are a number of games to look out for in the National League where are teams are in action.

It's local derby time for the U16s as the Eagles take on Oxford Hoops in the League on Saturday at home and then again in the Cup on Sunday, away at Cheney School. Tip times 3.00 and 12.30pm respectively.

Other teams in action:

Oxford Hoops U18 - Away to Bucks Hornets

Oxford Hoops U14 - Away to Northamptonshire Titans Purple

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND MOST OF ALL - ENJOY YOUR BASKETBALL
