Looking forward to the 2nd half of the Oxfordshire Basketball Season!

Hope all you ballers out there had a good Christmas! Seems like ages away now, doesn't it?

We're back to bring you all the news from Oxfordshire basketball. If you want us to highlight activities in the area, please let us know at publicity.oxba@gmail.com

So, how have our teams fared over the holiday period and what the rest of the season has in store.

Let's start with the National League juniors.

So, over at Oxford Hoops, the U14s had only 1 game in December, but it was a good one beating Shropshire Warriors 32-94. They have had a busy January though, playing 3 games, winning one and losing 2. They are now 3rd in the Midlands West League.

Abingdon Eagles U14s are in the South I League and after a cracking start to the season, they have come up against some of the strongest team recently winning 1 out of 3 games in December and a loss in their only new year game so far. They sit 7th in the League but hope to improve this placing before the end of the season.

Abingdon Eagles U16 go from strength to strength and with only 2 losses all season sit 3rd in the South I league, with 2 games in hand over the 2nd place team.

After a slow start, Oxford Hoops U16s are now clocking up some wins and stand 11th in the League.

It's the local derby this weekend as Hoops take on the Eagles at Cheney School. 1.00pm tip if anyone would like to come and spectate!

The U18s. An up and down season, with some spectacular wins and disappointing losses. The boys are 9th in the League having to forfeit some games.

This is turning out be a long report, so we'll come back later in the week to catch up on our Seniors' action!
