Weekend Round Up and a Look Ahead

Sorry we didn't manage our weekend round-up earlier but better late than never.

So, how did our Oxfordshire teams get on?

Oxford Hoops juniors are still seeing mixed fortunes. The U14s had a good win away at Northants Thunder, who are currently top of the League 76-81 - so well done boys, while the U16s went down to North Herts Knights 85-91.

The U18s game was postponed.

Mixed fortunes as well for the Abingdon Eagles, whose U14s had a comfortable win 42-68 against London Pulse, while the U16s had a "bad day at the office" and narrowly lost to Bucks Hornets 66-61.

The U16 Eagles put on a very brave performance the next day vs Premier League team Oakland Wolves in the 3rd round of the NBL Cup but eventually lost 81-61.

So our seniors?

It was, unfortunately, 2 losses posted. Oxford Brookes women went down 84-39 away to Leicester Riders, while the men suffered a large 146-86 defeat away to Swindon Shock.

So, looking forward to this weekend.

Not playing last weekend, Oxford Stealers have a home game on Saturday vs Cardiff Met Archers II, while the Brookes women play Reading Rockets away on Sunday, while the men have a National Shield game vs Bristol UWE Flyers II on Saturday. Good luck everyone!

Busy junior weekend, as the Abingdon Eagles U14s play away to Bucks Hornets, while Hoops host the Shropshire Warriors on Saturday. Saturday also sees the Hoops U16s away to Farnborough Phantoms, while the Eagles U16s play Wokingham Blackhawks away on Sunday and Hoops U18s play at home vs Reading Rockets.

Good luck to all our teams involved this weekend!
